RealFood App Wins 2016 DUX Award
Montréal, Canada – January 28, 2016 –
Yesterday, at Marché Bonsecours, the winners were announced for the fourth edition of the DUX Award.
In recognition of their innovation in the food industry, RealFood has won a DUX prize for their new Mobile Application. The app is a tool that helps people find healthy and conscious places. It is intended for anyone who has struggled with finding places that accommodate their dietary needs, who strives to make conscious food choices or who simply would like to explore healthier alternatives without hassle.
“Winning the DUX award at the very beginning of our journey highlights the start of a great adventure for us! We feel honoured to be standing by the side of industry leaders.” says Ali Sicimli, founder of the Montreal-based start-up.
DUX is a program that aims to motivate and mobilize initiatives that contribute to improving the health of young people and their families through food. It aims to celebrate excellence to a wide public, professionals as well as consumers and become the reference for business leadership in the food industry.
Its jury includes over 30 specialists including Isabelle Marquis (Marketing Director, Retail & Foodservice, Première Moisson) and Marie Beaudry (Executive Director of Aliments du Québec). Jurors were selected for their extensive expertise in various areas of health promotion in Canada.
Among the winners in different categories this year was Sobey’s Canada, EatRight Ontario, Bio-K and Aliments Fontaine Santé.
The team behind RealFood truly believes that it is by making conscious choices every day that we shape and create the world we live in. And now that technology is so present in our lives, we have the opportunity to find the information we need and become smarter about our own health.
